E-RYT200, B.S Psychology, MARRIAGE & family therapY Intern

My passion to explore the mind-body connection emerged during my undergraduate years studying psychology. As I was first drawn to yoga for the physical benefits, I became increasingly aware of how this sacred practice unites psyche and body and my interest in the practice became deeper. There was something captivating about the practice that had me coming back. As sutra 1.28 states, "to repeat [the practice] in a meditative way reveals its meaning."

I am passionate about living my yoga each day. As a learner of both yoga philosophy and systemic psychotherapy, my essential daily practice has been observing my external and internal worlds through a loving, compassionate and curious lens of awareness.

A few of my greatest inspirations include Patanjali, Aldous Huxley, Carl Jung and Dr. Candace Pert. A mix of an ancient philosopher, a mystic, psychoanalyst and neurobiologist. Yoga is the union of all that exists.

I completed my 200 hour teacher training through YogaWorks with trainer Angela Botta in December 2016 in Clinton, Connecticut.

In February of 2019 I received a restorative yoga teaching certification after studying with the renowned, Jillian Pransky in Westport, Connecticut.

In January of 2020 I obtained a trauma informed yoga teaching certification through the Mindful Yoga Therapy training with Suzanne Manafort in Westport, Connecticut.

In Fall 2021 I started working on my master’s degree in marriage & family therapy where I study part-time at Southern Connecticut State University. My long term goal is to have my own professional space where I can offer therapeutic services that aim to facilitate change within individuals and the systems they are a part of.
